Decentre (Freedom Press)

Up a narrow stair, conspiracies simmer over tea and zines.

Above the Freedom Bookshop in Angel Alley you'll find Decentre - part counter-info hub, part not-so-hipster hangout where Whitechapel's radicals gather. The volunteer collective turned a former storage room into a welcoming space for talks on housing struggles, immigration raids and squatting, plus art shows and poetry. Groups without funds can use the room for free; it holds up to 25 people and comes with zines, a projector, laminator and kettle. Decentre is run on anarchist principles and aims to support struggles for class and collective liberation.
