✦ Wonder & Awe · Bethnal Green
Hackney City Farm
A tiny farmyard teaching city hands to touch the earth again.
Since 1984 this little patch between Hackney and Bethnal Green has been teaching urbanites how to look after goats and broad beans with equal care. They encourage you to 'experience farming in the heart of the city', offering children and grown-ups the chance to get up close to friendly cows and to plant vegetables and herbs. It's free to visit, but a few coins in the donation pot help keep the pigs in fresh straw. Come for the animals and stay to learn how soil and community can change your day.

There's a version of the Lark who could tell you what to do before this, and where to go after. She plans evenings around feelings, not postcodes.
