LGBTIQ+ Centre (The Outside Project)
A refuge where queerness and protest find shelter together.
The Outside Project's LGBTIQ+ Centre on Lant Street is both headquarters and safe harbour for London's queer homeless community. Open throughout the week, it hosts open and private meetings, hot-desking and support groups, and is home to multiple LGBTIQ+ and homelessness grassroots organisations. On Saturdays the centre throws open its doors for Open House, inviting anyone to share or develop a group or workshop and offering travel refunds to those on low or no income. With wheelchair access, quiet rooms and sensory toys, the space centres dignity, activism and care.
There's a version of the Lark who could tell you what to do before this, and where to go after. She plans evenings around feelings, not postcodes.
