Old Operating Theatre Museum & Herb Garret

You can almost hear whispers of surgeons and herbs.

Climb a winding staircase into an attic where time stands still. The 1822 operating theatre – Europe's oldest – was lit by candles and watched by students seated in steep semicircles; the wooden table still bears their stories. Nearby, the herb garret is redolent of dried plants, hinting at remedies once mixed here. It's macabre and mesmerising, a glimpse of healing before anaesthetic.

There's a version of the Lark who could tell you what to do before this, and where to go after. She plans evenings around feelings, not postcodes.
