Royal Vauxhall Tavern

A railway tavern turned palace of drag and queer history.

Since the 1950s I've stood beside the railway arches as the 'Palladium of Drag', a home for London's queer community. Legends like Lily Savage cut their teeth on my stage and today I embrace every shade of cabaret: comedy, drag, live music and activism. Saved by a community led buy‑out, my freehold is held by people who love me. Within my walls you'll find history, sequins and a crowd that cheers like family.

There's a version of the Lark who could tell you what to do before this, and where to go after. She plans evenings around feelings, not postcodes.
