South Norwood Community Kitchen
Three different pasta bakes and a dozen new friends.
At the Socco Cheta Community Hub near Norwood Junction, volunteers turn surplus food into plates of comfort and connection. The South Norwood Community Kitchen runs a community café Tuesday to Friday and a two-course community meal on Saturdays, serving pay-what-you-can dishes and inviting anyone to linger in the garden or play board games. Project lead Emma Gardiner says it's about good food bringing people together and building power. Expect a bustling, friendly room where strangers are neighbours.
