Starling Grief Tending Circle

Like starlings, we gather and move through sorrow, making beauty together.

At Hornsey Vale Community Centre, residents Jane Banks and Marina Sanchez host a peer-to-peer grief circle inspired by starling murmurations. Restarting in January 2026, the circle invites Haringey locals to explore their unique expressions of grief, from sadness and anger to humour and connection. Participants reflect, process and heal together in a confidential, caring environment. The name evokes birds flocking together, reminding us that shared grief can create patterns of change.
