The Feminist Library

A softly lit refuge where stories sharpen into strategy.

Inside the Sojourner Truth Community Centre in Peckham, The Feminist Library houses one of the UK's richest collections of feminist books, journals, zines and ephemera and is run almost entirely by volunteers. It's more than shelves; it's a hub where lesbian history groups, queer poetry workshops, abolitionist teaching and organising meetings gather. Ground-floor and fully accessible, the library invites grassroots groups to meet and organise for liberation. Children are welcome, the toilets are gender-neutral and the spirit is intersectional.

There's a version of the Lark who could tell you what to do before this, and where to go after. She plans evenings around feelings, not postcodes.
