Upstairs at the Ritzy
An old cinema’s attic where soul and funk make strangers family.
Above Brixton’s historic Ritzy cinema is a cosy room that turns into a living-room dance floor at night. Open-mic sessions, soul and funk DJs and blues jam nights invite locals and travellers into its warm embrace. It’s a place where you can sink into a worn sofa with a pint, then suddenly be pulled into a circle of strangers crooning to Otis Redding. The nights feel intimate and improvised, like a family gathering around a record player.

There's a version of the Lark who could tell you what to do before this, and where to go after. She plans evenings around feelings, not postcodes.
